This Privacy Policy describes how Volt Stack Labs LLC ("Book the Job," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Book the Job service, available at bookthejob.io and app.bookthejob.io (the "Service"). Book the Job is a missed-call recovery and customer messaging service for home-service businesses.
SMS / Text Messaging Program Disclosure
Book the Job SMS Program
Program name: Book the Job. This program sends service and account messages on behalf of participating home-service businesses, including missed-call follow-ups, appointment and quote-related messages, and account notifications.
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with a participating business. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time to cancel and stop receiving messages. After you send STOP, you will receive one final message confirming your opt-out, and no further messages will be sent to you.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with, sold to, or rented to any third party. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services necessary to deliver messages.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information provided by business subscribers: name, business name, email address, phone number, and billing details (payment card information is processed by our payment processor, Stripe, and is not stored on our servers).
- Communications data: phone numbers, call metadata (such as time and duration), voicemail recordings and transcriptions, and the content of text messages sent and received through the Service.
- Usage data: log data, device and browser information, and interactions with the Service, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
How We Use Information
- To provide the Service, including delivering missed-call follow-up messages on behalf of participating businesses.
- To send account, billing, and service notifications to business subscribers.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use of the Service, including enforcing message volume limits.
- To improve the Service and provide customer support.
- To comply with legal obligations and telecommunications carrier requirements.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers that help us operate the Service, such as telecommunications providers (Twilio), hosting and infrastructure providers, email delivery providers, and payment processors (Stripe). These providers process information only to deliver their services to us.
- The participating business you contacted: if you call or text a business using Book the Job, that business can see your phone number and your communications with them, just as they would if you contacted them directly.
- Legal requirements: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
As stated above, mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
We retain communications data for as long as necessary to provide the Service to the participating business, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Business subscribers may request deletion of their account data by contacting support@bookthejob.io.
Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and message-volume abuse protections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
- Text message recipients: reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance.
- Business subscribers: you may access, update, or request deletion of your account information by contacting support@bookthejob.io.
Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to business subscribers by email.
