Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Book the Job service, available at bookthejob.io and app.bookthejob.io (the "Service"), operated by Volt Stack Labs LLC ("Book the Job," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Book the Job is a missed-call recovery and customer messaging platform for home-service businesses. The Service detects missed calls to a subscriber's business phone number, sends automated text-message follow-ups to callers, and provides a shared inbox and related tools for managing customer conversations.
2. SMS Terms
Book the Job SMS Program Terms
Program description: The Book the Job program sends service and account messages on behalf of participating home-service businesses, including missed-call follow-ups, appointment and quote-related messages, and account notifications.
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with a participating business.
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details on your plan.
Opt-out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Reply STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send one final message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from the program. To rejoin, contact the business you were communicating with or reply START.
Help: If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email support@bookthejob.io.
Privacy: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with, sold to, or rented to any third party. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
The Service is intended for business use by persons 18 years of age or older. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate account and business information.
4. Subscriber Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
As a business subscriber, you agree to:
- Use the Service only to communicate with customers and prospects who have contacted your business or otherwise consented to receive messages, in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and applicable carrier requirements.
- Honor opt-out requests immediately and not attempt to message recipients who have opted out.
- Not use the Service to send spam, marketing blasts to purchased lists, or any unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or fraudulent content, or content in prohibited categories under carrier rules (including SHAFT: sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, and tobacco).
- Not attempt to bypass message-volume limits, security controls, or abuse protections built into the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these requirements, with or without notice, to protect recipients, carriers, and the Service.
5. Fees and Billing
The Service is billed as a monthly subscription at the rate presented at signup. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@bookthejob.io; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except as expressly provided in these Terms or required by law.
6. Recovery Guarantee
If offered at signup, the Recovery Guarantee provides that if the Service does not help you recover at least one booked job within your first 60 days of active use, you may request a full refund of subscription fees paid during that period. "Active use" requires that your business number remains connected to the Service with call forwarding correctly configured during the guarantee period. Refund requests must be submitted to support@bookthejob.io within 14 days after the 60-day period ends.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service depends on third-party providers, including telecommunications carriers and messaging providers (such as Twilio) and payment processors (such as Stripe). We are not responsible for delays, failures, or message non-delivery caused by carriers or other third parties. Carrier message delivery is not guaranteed.
8. Intellectual Property
We own all rights in the Service, including its software, design, and branding. You retain ownership of your business content and customer communications. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to operate and improve the Service.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY PARTICULAR BUSINESS OUTCOME WILL BE ACHIEVED. EXAMPLE CONVERSATIONS AND REVENUE FIGURES SHOWN IN OUR MARKETING MATERIALS ARE ILLUSTRATIVE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOLT STACK LABS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Volt Stack Labs LLC from claims arising out of your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, including claims arising from messages you direct the Service to send without proper consent.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or where required by carriers or law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 8–11) will survive.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and the parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
